Your health is our number one priority at Canyon Dental. In some cases, the best thing for your health is a tooth extraction. Before recommending tooth removal, though, we investigate all other restorative treatment options first. You may feel nervous about undergoing a tooth extraction, so we do everything possible to alleviate your concerns and ensure your comfort.
The tooth extraction process begins with x-rays of the area. We also discuss with you your medical and dental history. This information can guide us in creating a precise and effective treatment plan. To begin the procedure, we’ll administer a local anesthetic so that while we work, you just experience pressure, not pain. Once the tooth is removed, we’ll send you home with post-op guidelines and recommendations that will help you heal and return to normal health.

The reasons to remove a tooth: you have a severe tooth infection, your tooth is fractured or damaged beyond repair, your wisdom teeth are impacted, or wisdom teeth are causing crowding of the other teeth.
